My skepticism regarding the promises made by Jean-François Michaud, the designer of the Modulum platforms, backfired on me. His intuition—backed by scientific analysis—was able to improve the sound quality of the best amplifiers, speakers, and other components I know of. All the other shelving systems I’d tested produced results that were imprecise and varied depending on the components. Surprisingly, however, whatever you place on the Modulum seems to settle in, allowing it to reproduce music more faithfully. Whether you use Modpod HD shelves or anti-vibration feet, you’ll be surprised by the results.
